we learnt to use the program photosynth and spent most of the four hours in class experimenting with objects, taking photos of them and seeing how much percentage synthy we could get.
sometimes, my point cloud was pretty close to the real object, but the 3d view was not so close, or vice versa.
matte objects produced a greater percentage of synthy as reflections made it difficult for photosynth to understand.
during class i did synths of the same bag three times (trying to get a higher percentage of synthy each time), a computer mouse and my friend michael.
when i got home, I completed some more steps of what was required and then completed two more synths.
